Dear students, teachers, parents and carers,
Little and often has always been our approach to developing skills. A good way to build this into your study habbits is to try and complete a bit of Numeracy and Mathematics every day.
Every month, we provide seven CfE calendars giving 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th Level, Nat 4 Maths, Nat 5 Maths and Higher Maths pupils a #DailyQuestion to try.
The #Daily Questions from these calendars can be viewed below.
We also have corresponding video lessons on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Level, Nat 4 Maths, Nat 5 Maths and Higher Maths #DailyQuestions. If you couldn't answer a question, now is the ideal time to complete a lesson on it. These lessons are designed to take approximately 20 minutes.
All Maths and Numeracy lessons should have a title, the date, all worked examples/notes copied down and the questions answered with diagrams, working and units where appropriate. If you are attempting these lessons, here is an example of what an effective home learning exercise should look like. Click on the image to enlarge it.
Please feel free to message us on Facebook (Rigour Maths) or Twitter (@cdmasterworks) to share with us how you are getting on. We would be delighted to hear from you.
If you would like to subscribe to a Rigour Maths account this year for full support at your chosen level you will find links to the sign up forms at the bottom of this page.
