MTH 315a
To run the tutorials simply click on the video you wish to play remembering to pause the video when attempting the questions! You should work through the exercises and homework in a squared jotter to keep all your work together. You should mark every section as soon as you finish it and write down your score.
For certain areas you will need a scientific calculator like the casio fx-85GT PLUS.
Once you have practiced the skills, be sure to see if you can apply them in the past exam questions at the bottom of the page. These questions should be revisited every so often as it is important to revise previous work so you don't forget it. Good luck! :)
Bronze Level
At bronze level we learn how to solve basic 1-step and 2-step equations involving addition, subtraction and division.
VIDEO 64: Outcome 1 - "1-step" equations. Grab a pen and your Rigour jotter. Make sure you try all the questions!
Video 65: Outcome 2 - More "1-step" equations. Remember to copy down the worked examples and take notes. These will help you revise and remember!
Video 66: Outcome 3 - Solving "2-step" equations. The final video in this module. After this, remember to think about your next steps!

At silver level, our 1-step equations involve negative numbers and decimals. We also learn how to solve multi-step equations involving letters and numbers on both sides.
